This Privacy Policy explains how Home Tutor AI ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the Home Tutor AI mobile application (the "App"), an AI-powered tutoring app for CBSE Class 10 students. By using the App you agree to the practices described here.
The App is designed for school students (typically CBSE Class 10, around 14–16 years of age). Because our users may be minors, we ask that a parent or legal guardian review this policy and provide consent before the student uses the App. We do not knowingly collect more personal information from a child than is reasonably necessary to provide the tutoring service. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us personal information without your consent, please contact us at the email below and we will delete it.

The App requests microphone access so you can talk to the AI tutor. Audio is captured only while you are actively using a voice feature. We do not record audio in the background or when the App is not in use.

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, and thereafter only as required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion at any time (see Section 8).
We use industry-standard safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) between the App and our servers, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and limit access to it.
Depending on your jurisdiction (including under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, and to withdraw consent. The App is intended to be used by students with the consent and supervision of a parent or guardian. We collect only the information necessary to provide tutoring. We do not use students' personal information for behavioural advertising. Parents and guardians may contact us at any time to review, correct, or delete their child's information.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you within the App. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
